Odd question again (or maybe not, it wasn't so odd last time)
Are the 4 peg to 5 peg (and beyond) puzzles REQUIRED to progress each characters dialogue?

I'm not great at them so I wanted to know if I could jiust move through the game all calmly with 3 pegs. Thanks!

I'm not lazy, just slow at puzzles.

Maybe an odd question, but, does ranking have any bearing any game progress?
I'm particularly slow at the puzzles (I'm not great with logic based puzzles) but I don't wanna miss anything the game has to offer, so I was wondering if I could just ignore it, or if I had to try and rank up.
